Sustainability in the Healthcare Waste Industry – Regional and Onsite Treatment Approaches The COVID pandemic brought to light the shortcomings of treatment capacity in many locations around the globe. There is renewed interest in implementing better waste management practices as well as treatment systems. What works best is a matter of local context. Regional or onsite processing. Both have their place in the healthcare waste management system. We will hear perspectives on this topic from a regional processing operator as well as an onsite operator.
